This Soccer Ball Will Bring a Smile to Your Face

Talk about going above and beyond! This Alaska man found a soccer ball that had floated across the ocean after the Japanese tsunami. It just happened to have this young Japanese boy's name on it. Good deeds...we need more of them!

JaVale McGee ~ You are Such A Gift!

In this touching story, a young mother's choice to keep her baby turns out to be the right one. She would have been at a disadvantage, some say. Yes, but she overcame and is reaping the reward. And so is the world. How many more JaVale's have not made it into the world? How many scientists, inventors, athletes, and artists are missing from our society because of their mother's choice?

Anti Trayvon Story...White Woman Helps Black Child

In the midst of sleet and snow, a small black child knocks on Traci Gilbert's door at 2 AM. The victim of a carjacking, the woman, who is white, lends a helping hand. She drives him to the nearest police officer who helps locate his family. Since this is a positive outcome, I wonder if this will get as much media coverage as the Trayvon Martin case? Well, I think it should!

Slapping the Hand That Feeds Her?

Ashley Judd Slaps Back

Ashley Judd is standing up for women everywhere. It is about time someone spoke the truth about the way women are objectified and their images critiqued in our society. Instead of being seen as human beings with accomplishments, personalities, and caring hearts, men and women alike indulge in contributing to our nation's collective shallowness. Outward appearance is a poor indicator of the heart of a person. Are we only seeing skin deep?

In case you were wondering...the definition of misogynist: a person who hates, dislikes, mistrusts, or mistreats women.

He's Dead...Wait, No He's Not.

In Australia, a 30 year old man is declared dead after a serious crash. His Porsche lay upside down and his body left inside. The two paramedics who examined him were experienced and found no signs of life. However, when the coroner arrived to transfer the body, he found a pulse! (I hope they didn't call his mother with the bad news.) He is now in a Melbourne hospital in critical condition. I pray he recovers!

Remember That Atheist?

Remember the active atheist from Texas I blogged about earlier? He is now a Christian. Now, that's a twist! He said he examined his beliefs about evolution, but what really changed his mind was the fact we were so different from animals. He now believes you have to put your faith in God, and not doubt everything. He also says he wants to be a pastor in the future and write a book about his experience. Interesting!
